Every year many patients fall out of their beds, and are injured, costing a lot of money as well as pain. We have the solution. The Human Care electric Floor-Level beds provide both a safe and a convenient way of taking care of patients and residents. Placed at a true floor level (below 100mm from the floor), they provide an extra care factor for those who may be at risk for falling out of bed, and a safe working height for nurses and carers when raised.

IMPROVE THE WORKING POSITION

A challenge in today’s healthcare is the working position of the caregivers.

To resolve this problem, the floor-level beds may be raised all the way up to 31 inches (80 cm), creating an optimum working height and reducing the risk of caregivers’ back injuries.

FALL INJURIES CAUSE PAIN – AND COST

Patient falls are widely recognized as a significant healthcare risk, as well as a cost. Pain, cost, complication, extended rehabilitation stay – and even death – are just some of the dire consequences of a bed fall.

Patients who are at risk of falling are not protected from the impact of a fall if the bed only descends to a height of eight inches (20 cm). That distance to the floor – although appearing small and harmless – can still lead to the sustaining of serious injuries.

On a floor-level bed endowed with a minimum height of less than four inches (10 cm), the gap from the bed to the floor is small enough to avoid the hazardous drop distance. Thus, the risk of bed-fall injuries is avoided, offering safety – as well as dignity – to the user.
